Mississippi right-hander Marcus Stroman was in fine form, shutting out the Austin Bats, 2-0. David Robertson converted his 19th save in 27 tries. With the win, Mississippi goes to 44-47, while the Bats fall to 42-50.

Stroman earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Mississippi. The native of Medford, New York allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 11. Austin hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Stroman, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
