| Renegades Stick Rough Riders with 6-3 Loss | Raleigh beat San Juan on the strength of starter Mat Latos's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Brett Cecil picked up the save for Raleigh, his 4th of the year. Their 17-35 record puts the Renegades third in the Eastern League South East Divison.
Adeiny Hechavarria was one of the major contributors to the win for Raleigh. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a triple to right in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, he went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hechavarria told the Raleigh Times.
