| Martinez Bashes 5 Base Hits | It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Francisco Martinez today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Sunrise Manor Grounds and paced the Broncos to a 10-0 win over the Sunrise Manor Hammerheads.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Spring Green third baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Francisco Martinez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joe O'Donnell in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
