| Indians Turn Back Erie, 3-2 | The Erie Seawolves got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos Rodon, but the Indianapolis Indians still won the game, 3-2. Rodon was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Silvino Bracho picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Carlos Rodon was tagged with the loss. The second-place Indians have won 6 straight.
Indianapolis took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Zachary Watson hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Indians.
