| Indians Win Again, Extend Streak to 7 | It was a good time at Victory Field, where fans came to watch the Erie Seawolves and Indianapolis Indians get after it.
The Indianapolis Indians faced a tough opponent in Erie pitcher Patrick Corbin, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Victory Field by a final score of 3-2. Corbin went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Indianapolis has now won 7 games in a row.
Had Zachary Watson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Watson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Indians.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Erie manager Terry Francona.
