| Altuve has 3 hit night as Rough Riders Squeeze Past Las Vegas | Jose Altuve added some punch to the San Juan offense, helping them outmuscle the Las Vegas Coyotes, 9-8. In the game, Altuve, who is tied for 5th in the WL in doubles with 29, was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Even with the win, the Rough Riders have a dismal 32-83 record.
Billy Hamilton had a big run-scoring single for the Rough Riders in the top of the sixth inning. With San Juan leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Nathan Eovaldi and stroked the single to right. It was his 111st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rough Riders ahead, 4-2.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hamilton told reporters after the game.
