| Reapers Stun Pride, 3-2 | The Regina Reapers did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Nashua Pride at Mosaic Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Lance McCullers Jr., who captured player of the game honors. The slumping Pride have dropped 6 in a row.
Had Edwin Encarnacion not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Encarnacion hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Reapers.
"We'll enjoy this win," said McCullers Jr.. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
