| Seawolves Lose to MuckDogs, 6-2 | The Erie Seawolves got a sterling performance from pitcher Keyvius Sampson, but the MuckDogs still prevailed, 6-2. Sampson was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball. Fairview reliever Nick Vincent got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Steve Geltz was tagged with the loss. At 33-30, the MuckDogs find themselves in last place in the Eastern League North East Divison.
The MuckDogs got a big at-bat from third baseman Vance Vizcaino. For the game, Vizcaino went 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Fairview a 3-2 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Vizcaino.
