| Gators Raise Rally Flag, Beat Connecticut, 8-4 | Florida played host to Connecticut at the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium.
Starting pitcher Jacob deGrom pitched well enough to help the Florida Gators beat the Connecticut Choppers by the score of 8-4. The second-place Choppers have dropped 7 straight games.
Florida took a 5-3 lead on Martin Prado's 70th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Prado hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Connecticut pitcher Will Smith shaking his head.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," deGrom told the Florida Daily.
