| Victory Pushes Freedom Record to 38-30 | The Mississippi Freedom topped the Indianapolis Indians, 7-4, in Western League action at Ballpark of Columbus. The player of the game was Mississippi pitcher Kevin Gausman. Gausman went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-4. Mississippi is 38-30 and Indianapolis, with the loss, 32-36.
Starlin Castro helped out the Mississippi cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder was 2-2 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
