| Lucroy Lifts Pride to 5-1 Win | Nashua catcher Jonathan Lucroy made his presence felt in the 5-1 Pride triumph over the Richmond Bullet Club. Lucroy was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Drew Smyly was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Andrew Miller converted his 19th save in 22 tries.
Lucroy had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 slider from Jesse Chavez, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Pride a 4-0 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Lucroy.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Lucroy told the Nashua Gazette.
The Pride go to 39-35, putting them first in the Western League North West Divison.
