| Seawolves Turn Back Regina, 3-2 | Regina got a terrific performance from pitcher Luis Severino, but it wasn't enough to beat the Erie Seawolves. Erie won the Mosaic Stadium contest, 3-2. Severino was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 9 innings of 5-hit ball. Carlos Rodon earned the win for Erie. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 13 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 10-4. Erie is now 40-34, Regina 47-25.
Tied up with the Reapers in the top of the fourth inning, the Seawolves got a boost from third baseman Manny Machado. With a runner on 1st, Machado saw a 1-0 fastball from Luis Severino and hit a run-scoring double to break the stalemate and put Erie on top, 1-0.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Regina manager Scott Boychuk . "The effort was great."
