| Pride Stay Hot, Beat Indians | Nashua Pride starter Felix Hernandez pitched a strong game against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field, leading the Pride to a 5-3 win. Hernandez, now 7-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Nashua has now won 5 straight, while the Indians have lost 3 in a row.
The Pride beat the Indians in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Matt Kemp produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Indianapolis pitcher Jared Hughes, Kemp gave his team a 5-3 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.
