| Freedom Roll to 8-3 Win Over Rough Riders | The Mississippi Freedom picked up a win at Ballpark of Columbus, knocking off the San Juan Rough Riders, 8-3. Starting pitcher Connor W. Jones, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jones went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 12. His record improves to 9-3. The Freedom sit in third place in the Western League South West Divison with a record of 41-33.
Brandon Belt chipped in for Mississippi, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the bottom of the first inning. For the game, the first baseman went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
