Rough Riders Bang Out 7-6 Win Versus Las Vegas | Las Vegas second baseman Kolten Wong had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to San Juan at Bakers Stadium. Wong was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Corey Knebel picked up the save for San Juan, his 2nd of the year. At 5-3, the Rough Riders have played well so far.
The Rough Riders beat the Coyotes in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Giancarlo Stanton produced in the top of the third. Batting against Las Vegas pitcher Blake Treinen, Stanton gave his team a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run double.
"It feels good to get that win," said Stanton. "Now it's on to the next one."
