| Bullet Club Deal Schooners 6-3 Setback | The Richmond Bullet Club beat the Avon Lake Schooners, 6-3, at Casterly Rock. The Bullet Club got a fine performance from third baseman Yangervis Solarte, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Richmond reliever Hunter Strickland picked up the win to move to 3-2. Kenley Jansen suffered the loss. The Bullet Club now have a record of 30-49.
Solarte had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 cutter from Kenley Jansen, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Bullet Club a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Solarte.
Solarte attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
