| Victory Pushes Bats Record to 42-38 | The Austin Bats dealt the Mississippi Freedom a 8-5 loss at Ballpark of Columbus. Gregory Polanco was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Wade Davis notched his 16th save in 16 chances. Austin now has a 3-game win streak.
Mark Trumbo aided the Austin cause with a 2-run double in the top of the second. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Austin skipper Trey Bats.
