| Choppers Pin 5-1 Loss on Seawolves | The Connecticut Choppers went home winners at Jerry Uht Park, thanks in large part to starter Shelby Miller. Miller silenced the Erie Seawolves, enabling Connecticut to grab the 5-1 win. Miller, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The Seawolves, now 44-43, have lost 4 in a row.
Point Pleasant, New Jersey-born Todd Frazier came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd and the Choppers trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to left to put Connecticut on top.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Frazier, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
