| Reapers Solve Bats, 4-3 | Crowds lined up early in front of Ballpark of Brooklyn, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2019 Outlaw Baseball League season. On the mound was Robbie Ray for the visiting Regina Reapers and Noah Syndergaard for the hometown Austin Bats. In a spirited contest, the Reapers pulled out the win, defeating the Bats by the score of 4-3. Earning player of the game honors was Robbie Ray.
Lucas Duda drove in one run for Regina. The 33-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Noah Syndergaard. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Austin manager Trey Bats.
