| Reapers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win | Regina Reapers starter Hisashi Iwakuma turned in a sterling performance against the Nashua Pride, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Iwakuma got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Iwakuma allowed 1 earned run. Zach Britton recorded the save for Regina, his 5th of the season.
With the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning, first baseman Lucas Duda delivered big for the Reapers. Regina was leading 2-1 when he belted a solo home run.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nashua manager Gary Van Tol. "But we decided not to take it."
The Reapers, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.
