| Choppers Walk Off with Win | The Connecticut Choppers scored a 7-6 win versus the Richmond Bullet Club at Houston Grounds. Connecticut catcher Travis d'Arnaud nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Connecticut reliever Will Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Hunter Strickland absorbed the loss. The first-place Choppers have a one-game lead in their division.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Rougned Odor had a chance to end it. Richmond pitcher Hunter Strickland had other ideas. But with one out, Odor drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Choppers had the win.
d'Arnaud said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
