| Bats Get Road Win, 5-4 | The Regina Reapers got a superb performance from center fielder Mike Trout. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Austin. The Bats won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Trout was named the player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Austin reliever Nate Jones got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Luis Severino was tagged with the loss. The first-place Bats, at 73-66, now lead their division by 4 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Austin, had it not been for Buddy Reed, the 24-year old center fielder . Reed contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Austin up, 4-3.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Regina manager Scott Boychuk .
