| Gators Even With Seawolves After Home Win | The Florida Gators and the Erie Seawolves will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Gators beat the Seawolves 5-1 at Yankee Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Florida right-hander Michael Fulmer was named player of the game in the win after he threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball.
Fulmer tossed 92 pitches over 8.1 innings to clinch the win for the Gators. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Florida manager Steve Strzepek .
Game 7 is set to be played on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at Yankee Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Patrick Corbin for the Seawolves and Michael Fulmer for the Gators.
