| Almost There: Erie On Cusp of World Series Triumph After 6-2 Win | Riding the 4-hit performance of third baseman Manny Machado, the Erie Seawolves stopped the visiting Las Vegas Coyotes, 6-2, in Game 4 of the World Series today. Machado went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Seawolves, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
Dustin Pedroia helped out the Erie cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"We did a lot of things right," said Pedroia.
The next game is set to be played on Sunday, November 12th, 2017 at Jerry Uht Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Carlos Carrasco for the Coyotes and Alex Cobb for the Seawolves.
