| Conforto Blasts Seawolves, Coyotes Take Game 5, 8-1 | The Las Vegas Coyotes have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Erie Seawolves, winning 8-1 at Jerry Uht Park today. Coyotes left fielder Michael Conforto was named player of the game after he went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The win cuts the deficit facing the Coyotes to 3-2 in the best-of-7 World Series.
Las Vegas took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Jorge Soler stroked a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Coyotes.
"We came out aggressive," said Coyotes manager Greg H. "We came out swinging the bats."
Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at Bakers Stadium. Slated to start are Patrick Corbin for Erie and Garrett Richards for Las Vegas.
