| Schooners Cut Down Pride, 4-1 | Avon Lake Schooners starter Steven Matz pitched a strong game against the Nashua Pride at Casterly Rock, leading the Schooners to a 4-1 win. Rubby De La Rosa earned his 4th save in 4 tries. The third-place Pride have lost 4 consecutive games.
The Schooners got a big at-bat from left fielder Rob Curtis. For the game, Curtis was 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Avon Lake a 1-0 lead.
