| Renegades Turn Back Avon Lake, 3-1 | Raleigh rode a good effort from starter Aaron Sanchez to beat the Avon Lake Schooners at Raiders Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. The winning pitcher was Sanchez, now 9-7. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Brett Cecil, credited with the save, is now 16 for 21 in save opportunities.
Ramon Flores, who is tied for 4th in the EL in bases on balls with 43, aided the Raleigh cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Flores said.
The Renegades go to 49-53, putting them second in the Eastern League South East Divison.
