| Coyotes Nip Pride, 6-5 | Despite a fine performance by left fielder Andre Ethier, the Nashua Pride suffered a 6-5 loss to the Las Vegas Coyotes. Ethier was 2-3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Las Vegas has now won 3 in a row.
Had Lourdes Gurriel Jr. not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Gurriel Jr. hit a 2-run triple. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Coyotes.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Gurriel Jr. told reporters after the game.
