| Choppers Lose to MuckDogs, 4-1 | Dedicated fans at Stars Stadium weathered the storm to watch their beloved MuckDogs beat the Choppers.
The Fairview MuckDogs picked up a win at Stars Stadium, knocking off the Connecticut Choppers, 4-1. On the mound for Fairview was right-hander Jarred Cosart, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 8 innings, Cosart surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.
Early in the game, first baseman Freddie Freeman had a 2-run home run for Fairview. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the MuckDogs on top, 2-0.
"I really like what we did out there today," Cosart said after the game.
With the win, Fairview has a record of 49-57. Connecticut falls to 56-50.
