| Indians Get One-Run Win at Austin | The Indianapolis Indians picked up a win at Ballpark of Brooklyn, knocking off the Austin Bats, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jaron Long, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Long picked up the win for Indianapolis, going 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-7. With the win, Indianapolis goes to 57-51, while the Bats fall to 60-47.
In the top of the fifth inning, shortstop Carlos Correa came through big-time for the Indians. With Indianapolis leading 2-0, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I was a little disappointed," said Austin manager Trey Bats. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
