| Liriano Lays Hammer Down in 7-0 Win | The umbrellas came out during the Connecticut-Fairview contest at Stars Stadium.
Connecticut starter Francisco Liriano had a strong outing against the Fairview MuckDogs at Stars Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-0 win. With the victory, the Choppers record now stands at 58-50.
Fairview had little success against Liriano and his slider. Liriano tossed 116 pitches over 8.1 innings for the Choppers.
"I had pretty much everything working," said Liriano.
