| Schooners Rally For Late Win Over Renegades | With center fielder Lorenzo Cain leading the charge, the Avon Lake Schooners defeated the Raleigh Renegades, 5-3, at Raiders Ballpark. Cain, who is tied for 6th in the EL in runs scored with 41, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Kenley Jansen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save. Raleigh has now lost 4 consecutive games.
In the top of the 8th, left fielder Randal Grichuk gave Avon Lake the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Schooners had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Raleigh pitcher Jake McGee changed that -- and Avon Lake went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Cain.
