| Choppers Fall to .500 After Loss to Emeralds | Eugene Emeralds starter Rich Hill turned in an exceptional performance against the Connecticut Choppers at Blue Wings Ballpark, resulting in a Eugene win, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Hill, now 5-6. He tossed 5 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Eugene goes to 27-38, Connecticut to 34-34.
In the bottom of the second, Eugenio Suarez hit a 2-run double for Eugene. The 9th double of the season for the Eugene shortstop put the Emeralds on top, 2-1.
