| Altuve Sensational, 5-for-5 | Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit ones are a whole lot rarer. It happened at Ballpark of New Team today when Jose Altuve of San Juan scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Nashua Pride.
He went 5-for-5 in a career performance to help the Rough Riders get by the Pride, 7-2. The second baseman was in a talkative and jovial mood after the game, saying his swing "was really, really there today."
"I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens, good things happen," he said. "You know, like going 5-for-5. I could get used to days like this."
Jose Altuve singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lance Lynn in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
So far this year Altuve has hit .253 with 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 9 runs scored. | | |  | |
