| Bats Subdue Nashua, 4-2 | Austin rode a good effort from starter Gerrit Cole to beat the Nashua Pride at Ballpark of Brooklyn. The final score was 4-2. The Bats, at 61-56, lead by one game in their division.
The Bats got a lift from designated hitter Addison Russell who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Drew Smyly. It was his 45th walk of the season and put Austin in front, 1-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Austin manager Trey Bats. "It's usually not just one thing."
