| Victory Pushes Schooners Record to 70-53 | Buster Posey helped his team muscle past the Raleigh Renegades, 7-5. In the game, the Avon Lake catcher was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Avon Lake leads the Eastern League North East Divison by 3½ games.
Posey had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 curveball from Charlie Furbush, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Schooners a 7-5 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Posey.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Posey.
