Indianapolis Owner Gauck Passes Away, Son Replaces Him
Friday, June 7th, 2019
Despondent and forlorn are the streets of Indianapolis today. The Indianapolis Indians baseball team has lost its leader, owner George Gauck. He died suddenly yesterday, while on vacation. Club officials briefed the press today on the situation and released funeral plans. Services will be held day after tomorrow in Indianapolis. As far as who will take over for Gauck, the Indianapolis Indians spokesman indicated it would be dealt with in the near future, but he had no word on who the successor would be. Press speculation is that Gauck's son, Paul, would be his replacement as owner. The younger Gauck was characterized by sources high up in the Indianapolis Indians hierarchy as penny-pincher when it comes to money and tolerant when it comes to management.
