 | Freedom Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 The Mississippi Freedom proved to be too much to handle for the Manitoba Moose in the Round 1, and a sweep was the end result. Mississippi punched its ticket to the Round 2 on the strength of a 3-0 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 3-0. Mississippi shortstop David Hamilton, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Manitoba pitching to the tune of a .429 average, with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Mississippi Freedom don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Regina Reapers - Austin Bats series.
