 | Western League Names League's Best Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 Brett Wallace should get a big payoff next year on the heels of his performance in 2019 -- a season that earned him the Western League Most Valuable Player Award. In what could be his last season in Louisville, the first baseman smacked 135 hits, 21 doubles, no triples, 19 home runs and 69 RBIs while hitting .291 with 59 runs scored. Rick Hague of the Akron Friars finished second in voting, while Charlie Culberson of the Newport News Tornado finished third. |   |
