 | Sansone Torches Suns for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 John Sansone exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Ballpark of Violet. The Toledo second baseman had a field day in the 14-2 triumph over the Jacksonville Suns, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Sansone must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. John Sansone hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |   |
