| Dillard Selected SL2's Top Player Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 The future looks extremely bright for Thomas Dillard. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Outlaw Triple A.
Dillard has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .270 this year, that's for sure," the catcher said.
The Thunder Bay Jets star also put up a .358 on-base percentage this year, with 98 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 18 home runs, 61 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
Domingo Santana of the Ft. Wayne Sky Sox finished second in voting, while Aaron Altherr of the Thunder Bay Jets finished third. | | 2019 Premier Player Selected By SL1 Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 Preston Tucker had the sweet swing of success this year in the Sub League 1 and captured the Most Valuable Player Award.
The Atomics right fielder stung opposing pitchers with a .333 batting average, collecting 35 home runs, 29 doubles, 3 triples, 183 hits, 109 RBIs and scored 108 runs.
John Devine of the Bridgeport Bluefish finished second in voting, while Yosvani Bell of the Bridgeport Bluefish finished third. | | 2019 SL2 Pitcher of the Year Award Chosen Monday, October 14th, 2019 The Pitcher of the Year Award for 2019 has been presented and the Sub League 2 winner is Buck Farmer of Thunder Bay.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Farmer. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Jets star told reporters.
Farmer excelled with an impressive 16-3 record in 24 starts. In 139.2 innings he yielded 130 hits and 30 walks, while striking out 173 and compiling a fine 2.77 ERA.
Yoel Mecias of the Modesto Swords finished second in voting, while Cal Quantrill of the Thunder Bay Jets finished third. | | |
