He blanked them 8-0 on 2 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Burnes said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Jacksonville skipper David Bell said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Corbin pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. On the season Burnes has a 6-4 record with a 2.12 ERA. |   |
