 | Season-Ending Injury for Thaiss Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 Matt Thaiss has to call it a season. The Ellendale Counts catcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 08/11/2019 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as torn ankle ligaments and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months. The team will likely place Thaiss on the disabled list today. So far this year in 79 games Thaiss is hitting .219 with 5 home runs, 28 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |   |
