 | Adams Tags Running Rebels for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Matt Adams today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Leander and paced the Red Flash to a 13-9 win over the Leander Running Rebels. After his dynamite batting performance, the Stratham first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Matt Adams singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Scott Burke in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Adams on the season is batting .271 with 5 home runs. His totals include 42 RBIs and 35 runs scored. He has played in 91 games. |   |
