Young RP Peterson Talking with Friars?

There's excitement amongst Akron fans, as rumors of a possible deal between the Friars and Todd Peterson spread like wildfire, causing each camp to issue a statement denying the existence of talks.
Still, BNN's sources tell us that a deal is in the pipeline and could involve $920 to bring the All Star-caliber player to town.
Peterson has accumulated a 7-7 lifetime record. He has 81 strikeouts in 93.2 innings and has made 28 appearances, recording 0 career saves and putting up a 5.09 ERA.

No Comment on New York Rumors from Mariot

Michael Mariot fed rumors today that he would be calling New York home next season. The loquacious reliever said that he could see himself in a Desperados uniform, but that it was far from a done deal.
Reportedly, $5,500 in cash is on the table over a 1-year time frame.
So far in his career, Mariot has registered no saves and fashioned a 4-6 won-lost mark. In 58 games he has fanned 90 batters in 89 innings and logged a 4.35 ERA.
