Friars Star Earns WL Bat Title Thursday, September 10th, 2020 Delmon Young said he thinks it's extra special that he won a batting title at the age of 34. "I can still keep up with those young guys," the Akron Friars left fielder said with a smile. He certainly did keep up, as he slammed opposing pitchers for a .312 average on the season to capture the honor. The batting star also collected 148 hits, 15 doubles, no triples and 7 home runs for the year. In 116 games Young totaled 37 RBIs and scored 50 runs. |
