Carrillo Sizzles -- Smokes Aigles for 6 Hits Sunday, June 14th, 2020 Even as a kid, Lorenzo Carrillo said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Hialeah Grounds today, Carrillo showed how well he learned that lesson. The 25-year-old right fielder had 6 hits in 6 at-bats for the Kingsford Crows, helping his team knock off the Trois-Rivieres Aigles by a score of 7-2. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Lorenzo Carrillo singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Kirk in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. In 36 games this year Carrillo has posted a .313 average and put up these numbers: 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
