League Suspends Hernandez and Alvarez for Fisticuffs Sunday, June 14th, 2020 The fans at Chesapeake Grounds saw it all yesterday in the Xplorers-Tortugas game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Chesapeake's Henry Hernandez and Daytona's Juan Al. Alvarez were ejected from the game. Today the two players were suspended 7 games by the league commissioner. In 41 games this year Hernandez has posted a .167 average and put up these numbers: 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 14 runs scored. This season Alvarez has a 1-8 record with a 4.59 ERA. |
