Red-Hot Espinal Scorches Xplorers Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 Lake Erie first baseman Stanley Espinal had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Chesapeake Xplorers at Chesapeake Grounds as the Crushers picked up a 6-0 victory. "He was patient up there today," Lake Erie skipper Chris Tremie told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Espinal has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Stanley Espinal hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Starlin Cordero in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. To date, Espinal has collected 21 hits for a .362 average. He has posted 4 home runs, scored 11 runs and driven in 13 runs. |
