Wood's Strong Week Earns SL1 Trophy Monday, September 7th, 2020 The baseball must have looked as big as a balloon to Matt Wood of Cheviot last week. The first baseman had quite a 8-game stretch and today he was named the Sub League 1 Player of the Week. Wood delivered 10 hits in 28 at-bats to hit .357 with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs. For the year Wood has hit at a .257 clip with 35 RBIs, 14 home runs and 34 runs scored. |
